David Russell Returns for Jack Daniel's Racing

aadaverussellFor the fourth straight year, David Russell will join Jack Daniel’s Racing in the V8 Supercars endurance races, sharing driving duties with Rick Kelly aboard his Nissan Altima.

The combination is a reunion of sorts for Russell and Kelly, who were paired together in the 2012 long distance races, with the duo keen to improve on their best race result of 12th from that year’s Sandown 500.


Pro_cee’d GT catches judges’ attention as a natural Selection

aakia1Kia’s stunning pro_cee’d GT has caught the eye of the jury to be awarded an Australian Good Design Selection accolade.

The decision by the jury means the pro_cee’d GT is now eligible for a prestigious Good Design Award when the final winners are announced at a gala affair in Sydney later this month.


Increase Fuel Excise will Milk Motorists Dry

servoTreasurer, Joe Hockey, is expected to announce an increase in the excise on fuel of between 3 and 5 cents per litre (cpL) and a return to fuel excise indexation in the Federal Budget on Tuesday 13 May.

Fuel excise is currently collected by the Federal Government at a rate of 38.14 cpL, however the impost on motorists is compounded by an additional 3.8 cpL GST on top of the fuel excise - effectively a tax on a tax.
