Subaru Aiming For Third Nurburgring Title


subaru9For the seventh consecutive year Subaru Tecnica International (STI) will participate in Germany’s famed Nürburgring 24-Hour Race, using its new generation All-Wheel Drive WRX STI race car.

Subaru is aiming for its third victory in the SP3T class, on what is regarded as one of the world’s most challenging race circuits.
The race program takes place from June 19 to 22. 

The WRX STI used in this year’s challenge employs special parts and is tuned for endurance racing, but uses the same core components as those on the standard WRX STI.

The team is officially known as the 2014 STI NBR Challenge, under General Team Manager, Hideharu Tatsumi and Manager, Masahiro Ozawa.

The drivers are: Toshihiro Yoshida (Japan), Kouta Sasaki (Japan), Marcel Lasée (Germany) and Carlo van Dam (Netherlands).

Subaru will host a press conference at 1600 (German time) on June 20 in the lounge space of Nürburgring circuit. This conference and the race will be streamed at:
